Cork House explores the interplay of solid and void, mass and transparency through a carefully calibrated composition of stacked volumes. The residence presents itself as a study in geometric clarity, where the upper floor appears to float above the lower, its placement deliberately shifted to create sheltered outdoor spaces below. This tectonic strategy—where the second story is thoughtfully cantilevered and recessed in relation to the floor beneath—generates a series of covered terraces that extend the living areas outward while lending the facade a dynamic, sculptural quality.

Upon entry, the ground floor unfolds as an open, light-filled volume. The generous living area anchors the space, its ceiling open to the level above, creating a double-height void that establishes a sense of loftiness and visual connection between floors. To the left, the kitchen and dining area are arranged as a continuous zone, defined by clean lines and minimalist cabinetry.
